The stars were on display on the pitch at Inter Miami CF Stadium the afternoon of this Saturday, May 9, as the Club’s venue in Fort Lauderdale staged the thrilling Legends Cup matchup between FC Barcelona and Real Madrid legends. The special edition of El Clásico featured star studded rosters with former global stars that defined key eras for both sides, with the teams playing out a 1-1 draw. Martín Montoya scored for Barcelona in the 69th minute to open the scoring, before Álvaro Negredo equalized for Real Madrid in the 72nd.
Barcelona took the field with a roster led by former attacking magician and Ballon d’Or winner Ronaldinho. Other notable Barça legends that were on display included goalkeeper Claudio Bravo, midfielder Gaizka Mendieta, winger Ludovic Giuly, and forwards Javier Saviola and Patrick Kluivert.
Real Madrid 's, meanwhile, team was led by former standouts like defender Pepe, midfielder Clarence Seedorf, winger Savio, and forwards Iván Zamorano and Álvaro Negredo.
Inter Miami CF Stadium electric atmosphere proved once again that the Club’s facilities are a top spot for international fútbol after hosting numerous international matchups in 2025. Coming up, Inter Miami CF Stadium is set to join the festivities during the June international window ahead of the start of the 2026 FIFA World Cup by hosting two international friendlies: Haiti vs. New Zealand on June 2 (tickets available HERE) and Turkey vs. Venezuela on June 6 (tickets available HERE).
